City of Lowell Renews Pridestar Student Transportation Contract for Five More Years
Lowell, MA – Pridestar Student Transportation (PSTAT) is proud to announce that the City of Lowell has renewed its contract for the in-district Special Education transportation of school age children throughout the city for an additional five years. This continued partnership reflects the City’s ongoing trust in PSTAT’s commitment to safe, reliable, and compassionate student transportation services.
Since launching during the 2017–2018 school year, PSTAT has grown to serve over 1,200 students daily across 109 bus routes, including 57 home-to-school routes and 52 mid-day routes. The company operates a fleet of more than 60 vehicles, dedicated to ensuring every student arrives safely and on time. To further improve service and reliability, PSTAT recently invested in eight (8) new transport vans to help service our students.
“We are honored and grateful for the continued confidence shown by the Lowell School Committee,” said Bryan Shanley, Chief Operating Officer of Pridestar Student Transportation.
“This renewal is a testament to the trust we’ve built with families, schools, and the community over the past eight years. We also want to express our deepest gratitude to our dedicated team of drivers, monitors, dispatchers, and staff—many of whom start their day before the sun rises to ensure our students are safely transported each day.”
PSTAT remains committed to delivering high-quality student transportation service and investing in both staff training and vehicle safety to meet the needs of Lowell’s students and their families. With this new contract, the company looks forward to continuing its strong relationship with the City and supporting students’ access to education.
